The Young Doctor Summer Programme

29th-30th July 2017

University College, London

(see tabs above to learn more about the timetable of each day)

  • The Young Doctor Summer Programme gives students a 360 degree experience of practising medicine. Over two days a group of highly-accomplished doctors will simulate a doctor’s surgery, coaching you in how to perform key medical tasks; as well as how to gain entry into a top medical school.

There are three clear outcomes for the day:

    • You will undertake the ultimate medical work experience. The entire second day of the programme will be a series of live simulations in which you will carry out fundamental medical tasks such as patient examination, life support, diagnosing under pressure and suturing.
    • You will be coached in how to maximise your chances of gaining admission into a top UK medical school – through both detailed sessions on the selection process, writing perfect personal statements, and excelling at interviews; AND through a dedicated mock interview session in which you will receive personal feedback.
    • You will meet and network with established doctors from a variety of medical disciplines, and be given the chance to ask them questions on a personal basis. These professionals can become vital mentors for you throughout your career.

The Young Doctor Summer Programme therefore represents a fantastic opportunity for you to both experience life as a doctor and prepare for the medical school admission process. Students can also reference their attendance on the programme in UCAS personal statements as an example of their commitment to pursuing a career in the medical profession.

This programme is specifically designed for students who are planning to apply to medical school this year. For students who have previously attended our one-day Young Doctor Programme, the Summer Programme provides more practical exercises and is an excellent opportunity to enhance what you learned there.

Programme Fee: £350/student for both days. Places are limited.

Refund Policy: We do not offer cash refunds for programme bookings. However, we do provide 100% credit against your purchase in case you can no longer attend the programme you have booked for if you cancel before the programme takes place. That credit can be used against any future programme run by InvestIN Education by you or one of your associates. For a full list of terms and conditions, please click here.
