On the Young Doctor Programme, a group of highly-accomplished doctors will immerse you in a series of interactive role plays, seminars, and Q&A sessions, to give you a 360-degree experience of practising medicine. You will also be coached on how to maximise your chances of gaining entry into a top medical school. You will leave the programme having gained a competitive advantage over other aspiring medics, and a brilliant experience to include on your UCAS application.

Programme Outcomes and Highlights

1. You will undertake the ultimate medical work experience, participating in activities including:
- Stitching up a wound (suturing), with a live demonstration by a senior surgeon
- Using the latest Virtual Reality technology to immerse yourself in a live A&E situation where you will need to race against the clock to treat patients. This includes:
- X-ray examination
- Taking the patient's medical history
- Recommending urgent tests that need to be taken
2. You will be coached on how to maximise your chances of gaining admission into a top UK medical school:
- Model UCAS personal statements
- UKCAT and BMAT test practice
- Powerful interview techniques
3. You will have access to established doctors from a variety of medical disciplines:
- Q&A time with leading medical professionals
- Unlimited lifetime access to our depth of expertise. Students can contact us for further advice at any time and the most-relevant doctor will respond to your questions.
4. Boost your UCAS form and job applications:
- Attendance demonstrates your commitment to becoming a doctor.
- Complete the online assessment after the programme and receive a personalised certificate to include in your UCAS application

11:30pm	Medical School Applications	- Model UCAS personal statements - Choosing the right medical school - Excelling in the UKCAT and BMAT tests - Advice from Oxford and Cambridge alumni
12.30pm	Practical 1: An hour in A&E	- Immerse yourself in a live A&E situation with the latest Virtual Reality technology - Examine a patient’s x-ray - Investigate symptoms - Discuss diagnosis - Initiating treatment
1.30pm	Lunch break
2.30pm	Medical School Interviews	- Excelling at interviews - Mock interview demonstrations - Coaching by doctors who run medical school interviews
3.30pm	Practical 2: Suturing	- Live practical demonstration from a senior surgeon - Stitch up a wound on a dummy patient - Working under pressure
4.30pm	Panel discussion	- Ask all your questions to high-ranking doctors across various disciplines - Guidance on applications from those on the inside - Receive personal advice
5.30pm	Close
