Can you tell me more about the chaperones?

Our chaperones are security-vetted (enhanced DBS check), adult members of staff who have experience of supervising children. They will carry out registration 3 times per day and escort the students to and from the programme. A chaperone will be available 24 hours per day should students need any assistance.

    Are any meals included?

Registration takes place 3 times per day at the halls of residence:

    • 09:30
    • 17:00
    • 21:00

Students must be present for each registration.

We ask that students are back on Ramsay Hall premises by 21:00 and do not permit students to leave the halls of residence after that time.

Our programmes are an opportunity for students to experience professional life. As such, we expect our students to behave like young adults. Any student who displays any behaviour that would, in our reasonable opinion, be undesirable or whose behaviour we, or UCL, consider to be inappropriate, may be asked to leave the programme and the halls of residence immediately. Inappropriate behaviour includes the consumption of alcohol, rude behaviour towards others, and failure to turn up to registration

    Can parents visit or stay?

Parents can visit students but are not permitted to enter into the lecture hall itself as we try to create a professional environment. Parents are not allowed to stay overnight as UCL does not permit guests to stay in their halls of residence.

Can I stay one night instead of two?

Only two nights’ accommodation is available. If you are only able to check-in on Saturday please let us know and we shall make arrangements for you.

    Can I cancel my accommodation?

InvestIN's Young Lawyer Programme is the best experience in law I have had to date! Excellent organisation; the team was so welcoming. I've gained lots of material to look over and met lots of professionals who have given me valuable advice and support! Well worth attending if you have an interest in pursuing a career in law.

I attended the Young Engineer Programme and it was so awesome as I gained an experience that was challenging and productive. As well as, I made friends that have both similar and different interests from me and at times where I had absolutely no clue how to approach a question (partially because I was one of the younger years attending), there were people, both experienced professionals and other students willing to give their input and help where needed.

Lewis Thornton ★★★★★

My experience at the Young Lawyer Programme was incredible, I gained so much information regarding both the role of solicitors and barristers. I would recommend this event to anyone who plans to study law and/or pursue it as a career.

I attended the Young Doctor Programme and honestly it will always be one of the best experiences of my life. I gained valuable knowledge from Doctors from a range of specialities as well as a very fun session on suturing. Ultimately, you stay in contact with the professional team so they are able to answer all questions you may have long term which is so rewarding and useful.
