Dr Howard Jones
Dr Howard Jones is a Senior Research Fellow in Finance at the Saïd Business School, University of Oxford and a Fellow of Keble College, Oxford. His areas of expertise include initial public offerings (IPOs), investment banks, private equity and institutional asset management.
Jones joined Saїd Business School in 2003 after a 15-year career in investment banking. He had previously worked at Deutsche Bank and at BNP Paribas, where he was worldwide head of equity capital markets, responsible for all equity capital raising. Earlier in his career Howard worked in debt capital markets and fixed income trading.
Prior to his retirement, Chris Roseblade was Deputy Head (Communications) at Merchant Taylor's School. Educated at Wolverhampton Grammar School, London, Cambridge and Birmingham, Chris has been a career teacher since the 1980s in both Higher and Secondary education. After a career in the maintained sector and international schools, Chris joined Merchant Taylors' School in the 1990s and became Deputy Head in 2002 to develop the School's use of new technologies, its brand profile in print and digital media and manage key projects. Chris introduced Sony Virtuoso language Labs into the UK, negotiated the first 100mb connectivity for a UK secondary school and has worked closely with major players in the IT industry such as Sony, Cisco systems and Toshiba and educational providers like Synetrix and ConnectED.
